Welcome to Brokerage Calc : Upstox Zerodha ("the App"), developed by
Rajat Galar ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we
handle information when you use our App.
Short version: Your trade data never leaves your device. We don't have a
server. We don't sell your data. We use third-party services for analytics, crash
reporting, subscriptions, and advertising — each described below.
📦 Data We Collect
1. Data you enter (Trade data)
- Quantity, buy price, sell price, broker selection
- Trade history entries you save manually
- Quick Add preferences
- App theme preference
✅ This data is stored only on your device using Android's local storage.
It is never uploaded to any server, never shared, and never accessible by us.
2. Automatically collected data (via third-party SDKs)

Firebase (Google) — collects your device token (FCM token) to deliver
push notifications. Also collects basic device info (OS version, device model) for
crash reporting and app analytics.

RevenueCat — collects purchase history and subscription status to
manage your premium subscription. This is processed securely by RevenueCat on their
servers.

Google AdMob — collects your advertising identifier, device
information, IP address, and ad interaction data to display advertisements within
the App. See the "Advertising" section below for details.

- To calculate brokerage charges accurately on your device
- To save your trade history and preferences locally
- To send you relevant push notifications (new features, updates)
- To manage your premium subscription status
- To restore your purchase if you reinstall the app
- To display advertisements to free users and measure ad performance
- To understand how the App is used so we can improve it (analytics)
- To detect and diagnose crashes so we can fix them
We do not sell your data or use it for any purpose
beyond operating, advertising within, and improving the App.
📢 Advertising
This App is supported by advertisements provided through
Google AdMob for free users. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
- AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID), IP
address, general location, device information, and ad interaction data
- This data is used to show ads and may be used to personalize ads based on your
interests, unless you opt out
- The App displays banner ads, interstitial (full-screen) ads, and optional
rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for a temporary
ad-free experience
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time from your device settings:
Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads on some
devices), by enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization".

📊 Analytics & Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics
(both Google services) to understand how the App is used and to detect crashes.
- Analytics data includes screens visited, features used, session length, and
general device/location information — this data is aggregated and does not
directly identify you
- Crashlytics collects crash logs, device model, OS version, and app state at
the time of a crash to help us fix bugs
This data helps us improve the App's features, fix issues, and make better
decisions about future updates.
💾 Local Storage
All trade data, preferences, and history you create in the App are stored locally on
your device using Android DataStore and Room Database. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is deleted when you uninstall the App
- Is not backed up to any cloud service by us
- Is not accessible to us in any way
💳 Subscriptions & Billing
The App offers optional premium subscriptions (Monthly and Annual) processed through
Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat.
Premium subscribers do not see advertisements anywhere in the App.
- Payments are processed by Google Play — we never see your payment details
- RevenueCat stores your purchase receipt and subscription status securely
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the renewal date

🔔 Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications about app updates,
new features, and relevant information. Notifications are sent to topic groups:
- all_users — general announcements sent to all users
- premium_users — premium-specific updates
You can disable notifications at any time from your device's
Settings → Apps → Brokerage Calc → Notifications.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
👶 Children's Privacy
This App is intended for users aged 18 and above as it relates to
stock market trading and financial calculations. We do not knowingly collect data
from children under 13, and ads served through AdMob are not directed at children.
🛡️ Data Security
Since all your trade data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on
your device's security (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device
updated and secured.
For subscription, analytics, and advertising data, our third-party providers
(RevenueCat, Google Firebase, Google AdMob) use industry-standard encryption and
security practices to protect this information.
⚖️ Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Delete all local data by uninstalling the App
- Opt out of push notifications via device settings
- Opt out of personalized ads via device settings
- Cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play
- Request deletion of your RevenueCat data by contacting us
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on
this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes
constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
